Sen. Hee wins Humane Society Award -
In this past 2008 legislative session, Hee authored the law that now makes it a felony for cruel treatment toward equine livestock. It is the first legislation where the cruelty to pet animals statute now extends to certain livestock including horses, mules and donkeys.
